Create named profiles that save your template, page size, headers, and preferences. Switch between configurations instantly — no re-configuring every time.
Pro feature — included with Pro and Team plans.
You use different settings for different tasks. Corporate template for work reports. Academic for research papers. Minimal for quick article saves. Without profiles, you manually reset your template, page size, headers, and capture mode every single time you switch contexts.
Think about how often you switch between tasks during a typical workday. You save a client proposal with the Corporate template, A4 page size, and your company logo in the header. An hour later you need to save a research paper with the Academic template, Letter size, and no footer. Then a quick article save with Minimal and no headers at all.
Each switch means clicking through every setting, remembering which combination you used last time, and hoping you did not forget to change the page size back. It is tedious, error-prone, and completely unnecessary. Print profiles eliminate this friction entirely by letting you save each configuration once and recall it with a single click.
A print profile is a named collection of every PDF setting available in the extension. Create a profile once, and every setting is stored and ready to apply with a single click.
Each profile saves your complete configuration:
When you select a profile from the dropdown in the extension popup, all of these settings are applied instantly. No clicking through tabs, no remembering which page size you used last time. One click and you are ready to generate.
Here are four profiles that cover the most common use cases. You can create these exact profiles or customize them to match your workflow.
Corporate template, A4 page size, company logo in the header, page numbers in the footer. Produces polished, branded documents ready to share with clients or attach to internal reports.
Academic template, Letter page size, no footer, clean margins. Designed for research papers, lecture notes, and academic articles where readability and generous whitespace matter most.
Minimal template, A4 page size, no headers or footers, article capture mode. The fastest way to save a webpage as a clean, no-frills PDF. Perfect for bookmarking articles and blog posts.
Dark template, A4 page size, source URL in the footer. Optimized for saving technical documentation with syntax-highlighted code blocks and a developer-friendly dark background.
Setting up a new profile takes less than a minute. Three steps and you are done.
Open the Pretty PDF extension popup and set your preferred template, page size, orientation, headers, footers, and capture mode. Adjust every setting exactly how you want it for this particular use case.
Click "Save as Profile" and give your profile a descriptive name — like "Work Reports" or "Quick Save." The name appears in your profile dropdown, so make it easy to recognize at a glance.
Next time you need those settings, select your profile from the dropdown at the top of the extension popup. All settings are applied instantly. Click "Generate PDF" and you are done — one click instead of five.
On the Team plan, profiles become a powerful tool for organizational consistency. Share standardized configurations across your entire team so every member produces branded, uniform PDFs.
Team administrators can create shared profiles that appear in every team member's extension automatically. When a new employee joins, they immediately have access to the company's standard PDF configurations — no setup required, no training needed.
Shared profiles are ideal for enforcing brand standards. Set the Corporate template with your company logo, specific page size, and standard header and footer text once. Every PDF generated by any team member using that profile will be identical in formatting. No more inconsistent documents going to clients.
Team members can still create their own personal profiles alongside the shared ones. The extension dropdown shows both personal and organization profiles, clearly labeled so there is no confusion about which is which.
Print profiles are available on Pro and Team plans. Create unlimited profiles and switch between them instantly.
The Free tier uses default settings for every PDF. This works well if you only need one configuration, but as soon as you find yourself switching between templates or page sizes regularly, profiles save significant time.
Pro plan users get unlimited personal profiles. Team plan users get unlimited personal profiles plus shared organization profiles managed by team administrators. There is no limit on how many profiles you can create, and profiles sync across devices through your Pretty PDF account.
Upgrading to Pro unlocks profiles immediately — no migration or setup required. Your existing default settings are preserved, and you can start creating named profiles right away.
Stop re-configuring your PDF settings every time. Create named profiles and generate perfectly configured PDFs in one click.
